President of Altrincham and Sale Chamber of Commerce

As many of you will know, I have been President of Altrincham and Sale Chamber of Commerce since February 2011. My term of office will sadly end on 8th February (also my birthday).   When I accepted the appointment I really wanted to increase the profile of the Chamber and thus its members. I think it's safe to say that I achieved this as I am sure you will all be sick of seeing my ugly mug in the press!   However, life after the Presidency goes on and I am delighted to announce that I have been invited to join the main board of Altrincham Forward (AF) as well as Chair its Finance Committee. AF is a non-political group that was set up a couple of years ago to drive forward the re-generation of Altrincham Town Centre. The project has really gathered pace and the plans for the future look much brighter than they have for many years.   As someone who is Altrincham born and bred, who has always lived and worked in the town and has a business in Broadheath, I am particularly keen to continue to be a key influencer in the town's development moving forward and have therefore been very pleased to accept the invitation to join the AF board.
