Boston Marathon update

As you know I am running the Boston Marathon on Monday 15th April to raise much needed funds for the Childrens Adventure Farmwww.caft.co.uk   I thought that this update might be of interest! So far, thanks to very kind donations, almost £1400 has been raised for CAFT. Thank you to all who have donated but if anyone else would like to make a donation, no matter how small or large, its not too late to do so and its very easy to donate at www.justgiving.com/tonycollier4caft   Yesterday, Monday 18th March, I went past 500 miles of training in the 12 weeks from 24 December 2012. The training itself has been really hard in what has seemed to be a perpetually cold winter. Running 6 days a week in those bitter easterly winds has been incredibly tough! Still there are now less than four weeks to go. This coming weekend will be the longest training run at 22 miles and then I thankfully start to taper down to the race itself.   So far I have managed to keep running despite a hamstring niggle that hasn’t helped and am hoping I manage to stay fit and healthy over the coming weeks.   We fly out to Boston (hurricanes and volcano ash clouds permitting!) on Friday 12th April and the marathon is on the Monday. Please send me all your positive vibes that day!   Tony Collier, Managing Partner
