Charities and Sports Clubs can make repayment claims on line

HMRC launched its new Charities Online Service on 22 April.  Charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs can sign up to make repayment claims online. There are now 3 ways a repayment claim can be made:- Using an online form - a claim can be made with up to 1000 Gift Aid Donors Through your own database - aimed at large Charities who file claims for more than 1000 donors Using a paper form - there is now a new paper form called ChR1 which replaces the old R68 It is claimed that the online system will result in faster and more accurate claims.  An on-screen confirmation reference number will be allocated and notification will be made when repayment is made.  It will be easier to maintain gift aid records for sponsored events.
